This scenic view of Bighorn Canyon is where the canyon cross-cuts a 1,000 ft. high segment of the fault that makes the Pryor Mountains. The Pryor Mountains are home to about 130, free roaming wild mustangs believed to be descendent of a herd that may have arrived as early as the 1700’s. You might catch a glimpse of them at the Pryor Mountain National Wild Horse Range north of Outlook.
