Kenmare

Kenmare’s business district is located around a unique old time town square, that today offers travelers a place to picnic with its green grass and shade trees. Kenmare’s thriving business community invites you to browse in a friendly, courteous, hometown atmosphere.

The heart of the town square is highlighted by a Danish Mill dating back to 1902, and is open for public viewing during daylight hours year round.

Lake County Historical Village is located right off Highway 52 near the campground. Of special interest at the Village are: pioneer church, one room school house, cook car, bank, dentist’s office, blacksmith shop, barber shop, meat market, saloon, and a 1904 home with treasures of the past.
