Daniel

Nestled on the banks of the Green River sits the community of Daniel. Daniel is named for its founder, Thomas Pixley Daniel, who settled the town in 1899 with a general store and post office. On a hilltop overlooking the Green River Valley is the De-Smet Monument. Take this short drive on a gravel road to see the stone altar which recognizes the introduction of Catholicism to the American Indians.
